What’s Your Brandraising Score?

If you read the Duck Pond or its rowdy sibling the Duck Call blog regularly, you probably know we’re brandraising-obsessed around here. That’s because we’ve seen organizations raise more money and increase their visibility profoundly as a result of getting their brandraising on, and we want that for you, too.

But what if you’re not sure where to start? Or how to get your staff aligned around the importance of reviewing your communications? Or maybe you can’t afford brilliant, wonderful, talented, smart agencies like Big Duck or other consultants?

Today we’re launching a very new, very free companion to Sarah Durham’s book, Brandraising: How Nonprofits Raise Visibility and Money Through Smart Communications (amazon affiliate link). Completing the questionnaire will take about 15 minutes, and then the little ducks inside the computer will generate a report that details how your communications efforts stack up. It’s also got aglossary to help you with any unfamiliar terms, and advice to help you improve your nonprofit’s communications, all customized based on your answers. (How sweet is that?)

But will they ever change?

We know: you’re game to try the brandraising scorecard and might even be willing to make some changes. But will others on your leadership team feel the same way? First, try taking it yourself and see what you get out of it. Don’t hesitate to let us know what you think: we’re looking for input and will make improvements along the way.

To start a bigger conversation, try asking a few key people on your team to complete the scorecard too. Carve out an hour to talk through the results each of you gets, without pushing any particular agenda. That conversation might spark some serious change.
