Dan Gunderman

Creative Director

Dan has brought his writing prowess to projects with dozens of clients since joining Big Duck in 2006. As Creative Director, Dan manages both writers and designers, helping Big Duck produce the best creative work for our clients.

A Sarah Lawrence College graduate, Dan got his start as a copywriter in the corporate world, working in marketing at the Jim Henson Company. He joined agency life at Upshot New York, where he worked on brands like Seagram Americas, Coca-Cola, Mirage Resorts, and more. He eventually left the corporate world and worked in communications and development at the Hall Farm Center, an arts and education nonprofit with programs in New York and Vermont.

Outside of Big Duck, Dan is an avid screenwriter and teaches screenwriting at the Jacob Krueger Studio in NYC. He also serves on the board for the Leah Ryan Fund for Emerging Women Writers, which provides an award for emerging women playwrights and offers grants to writers facing a life-threatening illness.
